

For decades, this land sat fallow; legally owned by tribal farmers, practically unusable. Swiftgreen's model changes the economics to generate income in year one, while a diversified agroforestry system matures over 40 years of monitored carbon sequestration.
The land is planted with bamboo, timber, medicinal, fodder, and horticulture trees,
Between the rows, while the trees grow, farmers grow local millets, pulses and oilseeds. Food security and income from the same land, from day one.
Over time, the tree species build long-term value alongside carbon.
The project will also facilitate direct market access for agroforestry products and supports alternative livelihood options like poultry, pig rearing, sewing machine and goat rearing to diversify household income. Alongside livelihood development, communities receive capacity building in plant maintenance and monitoring.
